The Siemens Pure product line can be enhanced with the Tek wireless kit. With the Tek Connect and Tek Transmitter, you can link your hearing aids to your cell phones, your television, and almost any audio source (i.e. iPod, mp3 player, stereo system).
In our experience with fitting the Siemens Pure hearing aids with the Tek system, we have found that the wireless connection with the Tek Connect remote is very intermittent. Whether it is hanging around your neck or on your side in a belt clip, it is very easy for the hearing aids to lose that connection, even if it's only a few seconds. If you turn your head to look away or to react to an environmental sound around you, there is a strong possibility of breaking that connection as well. When listening to music, often times you're doing something else. But with the music cutting in and out, it turns out to be very frustrating.
We've also found that the feedback cancellation is just not up to par. Most times, we just couldn't get enough gain to reach the target even with a standard receiver, and in turn, eliminating the potential to use a power receiver.
We strongly recommend that you research one of our other products, such as the
Unitron Passport
or the
Phonak Audeo Smart IX
. Both of these products have Bluetooth/wireless capabilities and have a far more reliable, steady wireless connection. They also have better feedback cancellation algorithms.
